18 And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should
be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him."
23And Adam said: "This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh;
She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man." 24Therefore a
man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become
So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore
what God has joined together, let not man separate."
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,
have not love, I have become sounding brass, or a
clanging cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13:1
And now abide faith, hope, love, these three;
but the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13
4Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant
5or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful;
6it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. 7It bears all
things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things. 8Love never ends.
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
7Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every
one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8He that loveth
not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1 John 4:7-8
22Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church:
and he is the saviour of the body. 24Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ,
so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Ephesians 5:22-24
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ
also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
12As God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, clothe yourselves with compassion,
kindness, humility, meekness, and patience. 13Bear with one another and, if anyone has a
complaint against another, forgive each other; just as the Lord has forgiven you,
so you also must forgive. Colossians 3:12-13
14Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which
binds everything together in perfect harmony.
